Un concerto spumeggiante dalle grandi emozioni in ricordo di Sellani
Grandi emozioni al Teatro Morlacchi ieri alle 17 dove è andato in scena il tributo ad uno dei padri del jazz italiano scomparso a novembre scorso, Renato Sellani. A rendergli omaggio un trio d’eccezione: Danilo Rea al piano, con il quale suonò svariate volte, l’amico di sempre Tullio De Piscopo, vero mattatore della scena e superbo improvvisatore e Massimo Moriconi, contrabbasssita sopraffino già molte volte applaudito ad Umbria Jazz. Il concerto ha visto eseguire pezzi di rara bellezza come Besame Mucho, una rivisitazione di Let it be e la famosa Autoritratto dello stesso Sellani. Una dedica speciale Tullio De Piscopo lo ha voluta fare anche all’amico scomparso Pino Daniele dedicandogli una delle sue canzoni più famose, Quanno Chiove. In un Teatro Morlacchi pieno in ogni suo ordine, il pomeriggio in musica di Umbria Jazz non poteva iniziare nel migliore dei modi
