Il 'Cheek To Cheek' di Lady Gaga e Tony Bennett non ha deluso In evidenza
Il concerto delle due star riempe Perugia di fan
C’erano circa 6mila persone a sentire le due stelle di origini italiane. Da una parte la classe e la signorilità di Tony Bennett dall’alto dei suoi 88 anni, il quale non ha mai dato cenno di sentirsi a disagio, calcando il palco con notevole sicurezza, dall’altra Mrs. Germanotta, la quasi trentenne che ha stregato il mondo con la sua originalità e bravura vocale, che ieri sera non si è mai risparmiata assecondando il padrone di casa in uno show a tutto “swing” che ha fatto impazzire la folle più volte in standing ovation. Lady Gaga, estrosa quanto basta, ha creato spettacolo anche sul fronte degli abiti. Si è cambiata spesso, ben 7 volte, con outfit degni della serata rimanendo però sempre sexy con trasparenze che hanno lasciato poco all’immaginazione e confermando la teatralità e l’ironia con cui la diva gioca sempre. La scaletta è stato lunga con ben 30 brani eseguiti. Si è aperta con Anything goes di Cole Porter e si è chiusa con It don’t mean a thing di Duke Ellington. In mezzo Bennett sfodera il bellissimo Solitude sempre di Ellington, mentre Lady Gaga si esibisce nella Bang Bang di Sonny Bono. Da segnalare l’improvvisazione di O sole mio con cui Bennett si lancia all’inizio del concerto e la notevole performance vocale di Lady Gaga bel cantare La vie en rose. Un concerto bello e carico di storia. L’unica pecca della serata quel “bis” tanto acclamato da una folla che si sarebbe aspettato un ultimo pezzo e che senza ogni dubbio avrebbe ulteriormente consacrato un concerto da ricordare negli annali di Umbria Jazz
